Hello! My name is Amy! Welcome to Amy Babys, where we’re always talking about babies.
 
A bit about me — I grew up in China, came over to Canada for my undergrad, and pursued higher education in Cleveland, OH, which is where my husband Bobby and I currently reside. We have two charming little ones under the age of three. Our life might be busy (okay, maybe “chaotic” is a better word), but we wouldn’t change it for the world.

I always knew I wanted to have kids, but had no idea I would LOVE the experience so much. After Sarah our first, taking care of kiddos, and being a good parent became my #1 passion. There’s something profoundly magical about parenting that I cherish every single day – the joy, the laughter, the challenges, and yes, even the tantrums. It’s an adventure like no other, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you.

I remember the first day Bobby and I brought Sarah home from the hospital. We looked at each other, “Now what do we do?” Even though the wonderful nurses from our hospital showed us how to change diapers, we still required a tutorial YouTube video before our first attempt at home. We were blessed with our 2nd, Noah the following fall.

We’re a great team, handling bottles, diapers, schedules …like champs (or at least we like to think so)! I’m thank God for blessing us with the opportunity to be parents, and for surrounding us with wonderful influences — our great pediatrician, wonderful family & friends, who all offer mountains of great advice and insights.

I found myself getting so passionate about baby care and parenting, constantly diving into the latest research, reading books, and gathering knowledge anywhere I could about parenting. Shopping for baby gear soon became one of my favorite hobbies — I love it more than shopping for myself! I suppose market research and finding great deals has always been in my blood, but with children it went next-level.

I got excited whenever a friend wanted to talk baby stuff. The feedback I started receiving from many was that they liked my suggestions, and pretty soon we all had matching gear. That’s when I started the idea of Amy Baby, where I can share what I’m passionate about with more parents!

There can never be too much to share about baby care and parenting, because no two experiences are alike. So here on my page, you’ll find a range of topics – from tried-and-tested parenting hacks to baby care essentials, to dealing with work-life balance. And of course, sprinkled in between are anecdotes of my own adventures (or misadventures) in parenting.

Remember, it’s okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes; parenting isn’t a cakewalk, especially when you’re juggling family with a career and the normal storms of life. But trust me, it’s worth every sleepless night and every stained shirt.

I hope my experiences and insights resonate with you, bring you comfort, make you laugh, or even just remind you that you’re not alone in this crazy, beautiful journey of raising a family.
