Pros and Cons of Woolino Sleep Sack

What sets apart Woolino Sleep Sack?

Super Comfy Material

I can’t get enough of the Woolino Sleep Sack’s material – it’s like a dream. Unlike other sleep sacks (I’ve used so many of them), the comfyness is at a different level!

I don’t know how they blend the merino wool and organic cotton, it is so soft and silky, but not too silky that you feel cold. Just the right feeling.

It’s like a gentle hug on your baby’s skin.

What surprises me more is that after countless washes, it still holds its shape and softness perfectly.

Temperature Regulation

Merino wool is a wonder material, especially for little ones!

It’s incredibly breathable, absorbing moisture while still feeling dry, which means your baby stays comfy, not clammy.

In the winter, it traps the warmth to keep your little one toasted.

It keeps warmth when it’s cold but doesn’t overheat when it’s warmer. So, your baby stays cozy and snug, no matter the weather.

This way, you don’t have to buy different sleep sacks for winter and summer.

Travel Friendly

The Woolino 4-season ultimate sleep bag has a super genius design – closable seatbelt openings! It’s a total lifesaver for keeping our baby’s sleep routine intact while on the go.

It’s got these clever seatbelt openings with velcro on each side, so you can easily slip the car seat or stroller harness through.

I’ve always wished for a sleep sack that works in the baby car seat, especially for those times when we’re out and about, and the little ones drift off during their usual nap times.

The Woolino ultimate sleep bag is like a dream come true! It’s a game-changer for trips and outings with the kiddos.

I just get them ready in their PJs, snuggle them into their Woolino sleep bags, and off we go in the car seat.

And the best part? If they nod off, transferring them from the car to their crib or bed is a breeze, with hardly any disturbance.

As far as I know, Woolino’s the only one with this genius feature. It’s like they’ve thought of everything for us busy moms!

Super Snug Design

I love how super snug design. It fits our little munchkins so nicely – snug enough to stay put without being too tight.

They can wriggle and move all night without it shifting around, but it’s still so comfy.

It’s like a cozy, gentle hug that lets them move freely in their sleep. Just right for peaceful, wiggle-friendly nights!

Very easy to clean

It’s a breeze to wash the Woolino sleep sack!

Just the other day, my little one had a throw-up incident on it. I was dreading the cleanup, but to my surprise, it was super easy.

A quick spot wash, and the mess was gone, no fuss at all.

Unlike the Kyte sleep sack we had been using, it wasn’t heavy or soggy when wet. Sometimes, the spit-out and poop colors are hard to get rid of.

Woolino took way less water, cleaning products, and time than other sleep sacks. It’s like Woolino knows exactly what us moms need – easy-peasy cleaning!

Drawbacks of Woolino Sleep Sack?

Expensive

There is no negativities I can think of from my experience besides expensive! It’s over $100. Very hard for me to justify for one baby sleep bag! I’ve eyeing for it for over a year, and finally made the purchase!

I do strongly think it is worth the money and it is not that costly. I will show you exactly why if you keep reading.

Snaps can be a challenge

There are extra steps to get baby dressed with Woolino sleep sack. You have to unsnap and snap every time.

The zipper goes under the armpit to make it super snug. But you’ll have to upsnap the shoulder snaps and underarm adjustable snap every time.

This can be difficult with a non-stop moving toddler. Some toddler can unsnap themselves as well. Well, they can unzip themselves with any sleepsack anyway.

Other Moms Experiences and Reviews

Don’t just rely on my experience. Let’s look at what other moms say about Woolino sleep bag.

Reviews from Woolino

Arielle P. on Woolino Review

“I wish I knew about the Woolino when I was building my registry. The quality is unparalleled!!! I have a feeling this will be a hand me down piece that lasts through a few babies. I would purchase again in an instant, but with quality like this, I wont have to!”

Mairi S.

“Good quality materials and workmanship. Shoulder snaps make it easy to put in. Wish they made it in shorter lengths for younger babes. The extra length gets a bit tangled.”

Reviews from Amazon

Skeptical at first but

“I was very skeptical about the Woolino sleep sack at first. Does wool actually help regulate temperature? At such a high price point, it has to, was the logic with which I clicked the order button… and I am not disappointed so far (having used it for about a month for my baby). I still like to layer my baby with footie pajamas and a long-sleeved body suit on the coldest nights (we’re on the East coast) within the Woolino but she never breaks a sweat!

Because it’s made to be worn for up to age 2, it’s long but never an issue. My baby sometimes plays with and munches on the leftover fabric, but it has not disrupted her sleep in any way. She also moves around her crib a ton but no issues. I also like that it has a nice weight to it which I wonder if it helps contribute to better sleep for my baby.

It washes well but you must air dry it since it’s wool, which is not a big deal for me.

Ultimately, I liked it so much I ordered another so I can rotate through them with my baby and have an extra ready to go if she has a diaper accident during sleep.”

Worth it, my baby loves it.

My 2m old girl weights 8lbs and these fit her so well!
She sleep so good in them and waking up happy as ever!!! Fabric is cool to the touch and weighted. Not too heavy not too light just the right amount.

Pricing and Value for Money

Woolino 4-Season Basic Sleep Sack: $79.00

Woolino 4 Season Ultimate Baby Sleep Sack: $109.00

Woolino 4 Season Ultimate Toddler Sleep Sack: $129.00

Most baby sleep sacks are priced around $30 to $50. The popular brands like Kyte and Loulou Lollipop are on the expensive side. Their sleep sack is between $50 to $60.

There are a couple of more expensive sleep sacks such as the Gunamuna Baby Long Sleeve Wearable Sleep Bag ($70) and Dreamland Baby weighted sleep sack ($89).

Woolino sleep sack is definitely more expensive than most baby sleep sacks. But the total cost is not more than the other sleep sacks.

What does it cost if you are using Woolino Ultimate baby sleep bags?

Woolino comes with a universal size. There is only one size for babies aged from 2 months to 2 years.

And only one size for toddlers from ages 2 years to 4 years. So, before your baby turn 2 years.

So before your child out grow the sleep sack stage (not including the infant stage), you’ll just need a total 4 sleep sacks – 2 Woolino baby sleep sacks and 2 Woolino toddler sleep sacks.

That is total cost of $109 x 2 + $129 x 2 = $476 for about 4 years.

What does it cost if you are using other sleep sacks?

Let’s use $50 Kyte for an example. Kyte offers 5 sizes. Let’s just assume all the sleep sacks are for all seasons for simplicity.

I don’t think you need to use all the sizes. Sometimes, you can skip a size. Let’s assume you just need to buy 3 different sizes to grow with your baby.

For each size, you’ll have 2 sleep sacks for changes. The total cost would be $50 x 2 x 3 = $300.

However, Kyte is not a 4 season sleep bag. You’ll have to buy one version for summer and once version for winter if you live in a 4 season location.

That would be a double cost – $600. More expensive than Woolino. The $50 one is the 0.5 TOG, suitable for summer only. The warmer ones cost $55 to $60.

That means, it probably will cost more than $600 for 4 years.

Alternatives

If Woolino sleep sack is still not your cup of tea for whatever reasons. No worries, there are many other options that is still very good.

Final Thoughts

Alright, here’s my verdict. The Woolino sleep sack is absolutely worth every penny! I’m totally in love with it, and guess what? My kiddos are too!

Ever since we started using Woolino, my daughter won’t wear her Kyte sleep sack anymore. She’s all about Woolino now.

It’s the perfect combo of comfy, cozy, and super easy to clean. Totally a thumbs-up from us!
