If the brand is connected to babies and parents, they were present at the recent ABC Expo in Las Vegas. There was a little something for everyone, from diaper bags for mom to clothes for baby — toys galore, food accessories, and some innovative gadgets to help families of any size.
Some familiar household name brands, along with a few brands I’d never heard of before. I found some really cool stuff, and in some cases became an instant customer.
I’ve detailed the new strollers, car seats, and stroller wagons from the ABC Kids Expo 2024 — these are the best of the rest baby products from the show.
The Coolest Baby Products from ABC Kids Expo 2024
1. Busy Baby
How can you get your baby to stop throwing their water bottle at the dinner table? Simple, tether it to their placemat and make it impossible 🙂
The products from Busy Baby have always been among my favorites. I never go to a restaurant with my little ones without bringing the Busy Baby Mat!
Featured on shark tank, their owner has created the absolute best silicone placemat for toddlers. The suction on these puppies is military grade and their tether system keeps babies occupied at mealtime.
These mats help parents cut down on the spills while encouraging toddler development. Similar products have come up with bigger dish bowls or found different ways to mitigate spills, but for me nothing beats the original Busy Baby mat.
They also offer the Busy Baby Stop Drop Bib with teether or utensils. If the fork is dropped, it doesn’t go far. Your baby can retrieve it easily and try again!
2. Magic Straws
Like, what the heck are these things? How have I never heard of these before? The friendly bunch at Magic Straws gave my kids two glasses of water with their strawberry-kiwi water magic straws and we were all instant fans.
Mom may have stolen a couple sips when no one was looking 🙂 Their claim to fame however came from flavoring milk, helping parents with picky drinkers who refused the cow. They offer their foundational magic milk straws in flavors such as vanilla milkshake and cinnamon roll. Fun for the kids and a help to parents!
The company also sells specialized immunity straws focused on delivering vitamin c & zinc as well as compostable straws developed to be safer for the environment.
3. Kinder by Nature
My daughter’s skin especially did not do good with the brittle heat and sun of Las Vegas. Plus traveling with 3 hours difference, her stomach didn’t feel well. She developed a bad case of diaper rash.
Changing diapers at the expo, I decided to use a few samples from Kinder by Nature – why not give these a try?
After the switch, I saw a noticeable change in her chapped skin. I’ve actually been quoted in an article from Parents.com on “Best Wipes” – and I’m so sad these incredible wipes were not included in my recommendations.
I really thought I knew every wipe in the game, but had never heard of Kinder by Nature. If you’re in the same boat, I suggest trying a pack.
Self-described ‘most eco-friendly wipes on the planet’, they offer water-based, specifically designed for children with eczema as well as a plant-based vegan-friendly wipe made from wood pulp.
Try their Nose Nuzzles to clean messy faces after dinner out and Shea Butter Natural Baby Soap at bath time. I ended up buying a box when we returned from the expo 🙂
4. Skin Bare
Kinder by Nature is launching another brand – Skin Bare for moms! I was lucky to get some samples of Skin Bare makeup remover and the Hemp Exfoliating Mitts for shower.
Truly incredible! Just like the Kinder by Nature baby wipes, the makeup remover is so gentle. No irritation of my eyes. The mitts feel great on my skin, very soothing to take a shower with them.
I hope they launch these products soon so that I can buy more of them!
5. Glo Pals
Typically, I bring a slew of bath toys along on family vacations, but flying (as opposed to our typical road trips) meant that space in the suitcase was limited.
Instead of the normal lineup, I chose to bring only a few of their favorite Glo Pals, small and simple. Bath time on our trip went better than expected.
To my surprise, the kids didn’t even notice some of their favorite bath friends missing in action. These little lights fascinate my youngsters, turning off when taken out of the water and lighting back up when tossed back in.
If you’re doing bath time without Glo Pals, you might be doing it wrong. I got a few more at the expo, red Elmo themed 🙂 The company also sells a unique Sensory Jar, allowing children to enjoy their pals on the go.
6. Slumber Pod
My daughter decided to hop right in the display Slumber Pod (not sure you’re allowed to do that hunny), zipping herself up for a couple of peaceful moments alone. The group at Slumber Pod was so kind to my little girl.
This unit itself is a must for anyone traveling with youngsters. The material is real deal blackout (blocks 95% of light) while being breathable and stretchable. It’s going to fit over most all travel cribs and playards.
I also finally got to see the Slumber Tot up close, the inflatable bed that fits super snug inside the pod — a perfect match for an already incredible product.
7. Babymoov
I had heard of their food processor, but never got big into pureeing food for my babies. What I didn’t realize is that Babymoov makes a ton of other cool baby gear!
Swoon Evolution is Babymoov’s new baby swing. You can rotate the swing 360 degrees, so your baby can always face you without moving the swing itself. The unit features 8 different swing movements, and 5 different positions to adjust.
Their new Moov and Comfy Travel Crib was one of the neatest items at the expo. I’ve just never seen anything like it. This item quickly morphs back and forth between a bassinet and a crib, with a removable zipped cradle.
The travel crib is great for traveling families with babies, and offers the ability to grow with your children. I love my Guava travel crib, but advanced options like this can give Guava a run for their money.
8. Nuna
I love Nuna’s car seats and strollers! The proof is in the pudding, as all my current car seats are from Nuna.
I never realized that Nuna also has carriers and pack n plays. The old Sena Aire travel crib doesn’t interest me much. It is the type of pack n play that’s above the ground, which I’m not a big fan of.
The thin mattress of the travel crib is just sitting on the cross-steel frame. That picture doesn’t look comfortable to me. I don’t think the baby gets equal support under such a thin mattress, but I know some parents prefer the raised frame — no judgment from me.
Paal however, the new pack-n-play from Nuna, has the mattress resting on the floor! It also offers a raised mattress, similar to Babymoov, when the baby’s younger.
9. Kalencom
I was not too familiar with Kalencom baby before the show, but their booth proved to have some incredibly innovative products for parents.
There’s nothing on the market quite like their My Own-Space Portable Space Pod. Opened and shut this accordion-style sleeping tent for children in seconds.
This item is similar to a pack-and-play or travel crib, but unique in its own right. The perfect solution for parents looking for instant nap-time space without the hassle that sometimes accompanies bulkier options.
10. Stokke
It’s not a baby show without Stokke. I adore my own Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair, and seeing some of their products in person was a fun experience. Included in their display was an adult-size Tripp Trapp, which allowed me to get a feel for how my children must feel at mealtime.
Stokke offers some really neat and cutting edge products for babies, my favorite being their JetKids BedBox. I’m jelly I didn’t have one (or two) of these for our trip, they convert any standard economy seat into a first class seat for children.
Pre or post flight, it’s airport luggage with wheels for kids to cruise around (or parents to pull), and the top converts into a cozy footrest for your favorite little cruiser to stretch out while flying.
11. Baby Bjorn
As with Stokke, Baby Bjorn came to the show featuring an ‘adult size’ product (not for sale); their ergonomic bouncer had me ready to hop in and take a nap mid-show.
If only my toddler knew the hours spent rocking her to sleep in this, perhaps she would return the favor! Baby Bjorn has been a trusted name in the space for years, a great option for carriers and bouncers.
A new feature from them, this plush detachable carrier bag, allowing a pocket for storage where there previously wasn’t.
The Baby Bjorn carrier didn’t offer much in terms of pockets or storage before this clever addition to the family.
12. Mia Mily
Another item I wished I had for airline travel, the Mia Mily Carry On is built for airport adventurers. Engineered with a built-in seat back, the piece is sturdy enough to hold an adult (while idle) but truly built for kids.
Children can hop up top and ride on the luggage, ideal for young flying families. 360 degree swivel wheels, a 3 digit lock, and even a child seat belt included with the bag.
The brand also offers a larger Check In version along with some neat temperature controlled baby carriers.
13. Little Partners
When it comes to furniture and easels for children, there are a lot of different options. I remember getting exhausted while scouring through reviews looking for the right purchase to make.
After tinkering with a few different brands, I found nothing could beat the craftsmanship of Little Partners. My daughter stopped and played with their Peek-a-boo art easel at the expo for quite a while.
I own their learning tower, which comes with several customizable additions. You may be able to find lighter furniture for less money, but this company makes quality trustworthy products that are truly built to last.
14. Noriter Project
One of the only somewhat competitors to Little Partners that I found interesting was the Noriter Project. The group at their booth was super friendly to my children, who became instantly fascinated with their signature Double Sided Board.
One stroke of genius they came up with was creating magnetic felt collections with internal magnet placement to hide the magnets.
With my 20-month-old, everything seems to eventually end up in his mouth – these felt magnets make it impossible for them to become a choking hazard (or germ collection), while producing various double-sided felt items – twice the fun for your family!
15. Jan and Jul
I’m typically more into the gear and gadgets, but there is something about Jan and Jul clothing. I absolutely adored the booth setup and style coming from this brand.
I originally stopped by looking for a pair of toddler sunglasses, as my youngest had broken his sister’s favorite pair (one day into the trip, surprise, surprise).
Jan and Jul have the greatest little ‘indestructible’ toddler sunglasses, along with a heap of other awesome apparel. If your little one likes the outdoors (and looking good), this brand needs to be on your radar.
They feature ski suits (adorable!) and a variety of other outdoor gear for children. I especially love their boots, sturdy and lightweight.
16. Buckle Me Baby Coats
The idea of zipping a winter coat over the car seat harness was always appealing to me, and seeing Buckle me baby coats up close at the event sealed the deal. These things are awesome!
The company offers a line of coats which make riding in the car more safe and cozy for kids, designed for the buckle to be worn inside of the jacket rather than outside.
No more poofy jacket sweat-filled children stuffed into their car seats, families now have secure and comfortable options for their children.
I also love the Buckle me baby blanket. My son enjoys kicking off any blanket I may attempt to wrap him up in (along with his shoes and socks). This wearable blanket covers the whole body and will stay snug on your child during car travel.
17. Kibou
I know I’m a weirdo but Kibou was honestly my #1 must see at the expo. Lately I have gotten a bit obsessed with fanny packs. A recent Costco purchase travels with me everywhere and allows me to be hands-free at all times.
I love to keep everything at my fingertips without the hassle of lugging around big backpacks. My current option gets the job done, but it’s a bit bulky, only comes in one color, and let’s just say it isn’t the most stylish accessory I own.
Kibou bag had my head turning. A fanny back designed specifically with parents in mind. Every Kibou comes with a removable padded mat along with a waterproof pocket.
This item made a huge difference in changing diapers on the airplane – I could easily hand it to my husband, who didn’t give me the ‘carry the diaper bag’ look. It’s sleek and comfortable.
I cannot describe how in love I am with this product. Wear it around your shoulder or keep it on your waist (a little extra support when carrying a toddler) – multiple colors to choose from (hello jade) – made from recycled nylon and vegan leather – Kibou was my bell of the ball.
18. Enya Mond
The most beautiful top grade vegan leather, from first sight you can see (and feel) the difference with Enya Mond. This brand offers sophisticated bags for mom, with incredible function.
The Luna has an enormous capacity for all your baby essentials, but somehow manages to do it with style and grace.
On my way to the airport, I was counting luggage, trying to figure out how our family could possibly get everything (along with two children) from the car to the airport terminal. Do I need to enlist my three year old to help carry?
Then I realized the convertible back pocket on my Luna which transforms into a trolley sleeve! This allows it to be stacked and pulled, freeing me up to carry other items.
Little secrets like this are hidden all over the bag; two insulated pockets for beverages, a side sleeve for electronics, extra large changing mat, everything has its place.
And it’s not just about having more than meets the eye, with Enya Mond the velcro, mesh, and buttons (minimal) are elegantly concealed (shh).
I love this bag – built to do it all and look great – it is easy to clean and made my trip a success! Check out their Elara bag made of fine smooth leather and consider a Nova clutch to match.
19. Tooth Fairy Flylight
The group at Tooth Fairy Flylight decided to dress up as fairies for the show – you couldn’t miss them!
I love books that pair with art, providing children with more meaning and connection. Every child will eventually lose those teeth right?
This wonderful storybook pairs with a magical night light set. A great way to introduce the tooth fairy and start a lasting tradition with your family.
20. Joolbaby
Joolbaby was front and center all expo! While they make swings for babies as well as bath time accessories, they are most well-known for their line of potty products. We use their great gear to potty train our kids.
From training seats with ladders to seats with handles, Joolbaby is the place to look when your little one is ready to lose those diapers (or in my case somewhat forced to due to daycare restrictions).
My favorite is their Folding Travel Potty. Compact and portable, this item allows children to continue growing in confidence on the go.
21. Larktale
Larktale is known for stroller wagons, and their Crossover single stroller that can be converted into a 2 – seat stroller wagon.
However, their wagons aren’t the only products with the ability to transform, check out their Scoobi, which goes from bike, to trike, to scooter as your baby grows.
22. Fat Brain Toy
A really cool team represented at the Fat Brain booth, they were hands on playful with my three year old.
Perhaps my favorite from them is their engaging Air Toobz, although they offer a little bit of everything for a wide range of age groups. Whatever your kids age, their website is worth a peek.
23. Le Toy Van
Top of the line dollhouses and other wonderfully European crafted wooden toys. My oldest spent hours at Le Toy Van.
When I apologized to the booth for her insistence to stay, they told me the best marketing was a happy customer playing with their products!
All around class, just like the toys themselves. From the material, to the unique wooden designs, to the attention to detail, you can tell no corners were cut with these products. Give their toddler stackers a try to see if your child has interest.
24. Jolly Jumper
There’s a lot of bouncy jumper tables on the market, but nothing quite like the original. The Jolly Jumper was invented in 1910 and went public in 1948.
You can buy it as shown with a stand, or the version which hangs conveniently in doorways. Great for any energetic toddler.
Another product from Jolly Jumper, their Safety Backpack Harness helps keep wondering children in close proximity while also offering functionability – a lot of similar products I’ve seen don’t actually have much backpack space.
25. Story Pod
There are really only two audio systems for children, Story Pod and Tonie were both at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas.
The main difference I found is that Story Pods can be used starting at newborn – content is easily broken down by age range and seems to be targeted towards a younger audience. Another feature with Story Pod, the ‘craftie’ atop is soft like a stuffy.
26. Tonies
‘Content Tonies’ are not knitted like the Story Pod ‘crafties’, but they are still built to last, and boy are there a range of selections.
The characters you’re going to get with Tonies seem to be aimed at a bit older age group, unless you’ve been living in a cave, your child will recognize at least one of these audio characters, like Bilippi!
For me, it’s Story Pod, but I think that’s because my oldest is still only three years old. My family may be quickly teetering into Tonie territory.
Conclusion
Well, that was a mouthful! I hope you enjoyed this little stroll through the ABC Expo! Attending the event was a ton of fun for our young family, and I hope this breakdown can be used to make some informed decisions on purchases for yours!
These were among my top picks, but there were so many more awesome baby products at the ABC Kids Expo, that I just couldn’t fit all of them here!
